A Potter's Hands

I had a wonderful opportunity to join 11 other Alabama bloggers for a Pottery Class at Earthborn Pottery/Cahaba Clayworks.
I am hooked! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. I took this picture of Larry. He is a master potter and helps teach classes. I think he also practises hypnotism, because I couldn't stop from watching the clay be transformed through his hands. Magical! He created a complex picther in less than five minutes.

Girls Night Out

A recent girls night out welded this picture. A group of several women sharing laughs over a drink. I am not a beer drinker, but I can respect the colors and advertising of a beautiful bottle. Cheers!

My thanks to JG for making this photograph possible. And her precious husband for his DD service for her.

Set Up for Senate

I am part of a fabulous host committee for a Fundraiser-Reception on behalf of Cam Ward, who is running for a senate seat. We met at the location of the reception today, Magnolia Manor in Helena, and helped to set up for the big night.

Wrestling Coaches

These are coaches at the State Wrestling Tournament. Though it may appear as though they are working on a special dance...or cheer......It's very serious.

Mardi Gras

These pictures were taken in celebration of Mardi Gras. Today, Fat Tuesday, Patton Creek held it's annual Mardi Gras parade. It was great, very family friendly. The kids had a balst, as did I. My only complaint, it was EXTREMELY cold! But the more we jumped for beadds and moonpies the more bearable it became.
We walked away with 2 tshirts, several pocketfuls of candy and moonpies, store coupons and lots and lots of beads.
Elaina got the most beads.

For Jack.....it was all about the chocolate moonpies.

Happy Mardi Gras, Y'all!

Of Heart and Home

This home in Homewood, Alabama is always decorated so cute. I imagine some Mary Englbright personality residing under it's roof. I just wish my house were as precious and had such curb appeal. Here is it in it's Valentine best!

Old Rugged Cross

I take my daughter to school every weekday morning. As I pull out of the school, there are woods across the street. In the front of the tree line, is this 'cross" made naturally of trees. Its my daily reminder of God's presence in all things. And I pray.

Charlotte Rides Shotgun

Hi! Remember me?
I am going to have to change the name of this blog to picture when I have time to post. I can say I have and I do take pictures daily. Anyway, trying to get back in it.

This is my dog Charlotte. Charlotte LOVEs to go for a ride. The other day I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride, and she beat me to the door. Can't you just see the smile on her face? She is one happy dog!
